July 13, 2009
Feast of St. Henry
Dear Members of the Archbishop O'Hara High School Community,
After an extensive search process and community consultation, we are pleased to announce that Bishop Finn has approved the recommendation to hire Dr. James Redd as principal for Archbishop O'Hara High School. With more than 25 years of experience in education, Dr. Redd received the endorsement of the Catholic Schools Office and the Archbishop O'Hara Principal Search Committee.
A solid educator, Dr. Redd most recently was a member of the faculty of William Jewell College, which was named by Forbes, Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report as one of the "best collges" in the nation in 2008. Most importantly, Dr. Redd is a man of deep faith. His passion for the ministry of Catholic education will provide an excellent foundation for the spiritual leadership of the school community.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Redd to Archbishop O'Hara High School and the broader diocesan community.
In Christ the Divine Teacher,
Marlon De La Torre
Superintendent of Schools
